Isn’t she beautiful? Isn’t she talented? The most talented “negroe” to grace “white right” stages. See her perform. Hear the silkiness of her voice and imagine the curvaceous silhouette is, in fact, yours to own. To desire. And if the skin is right- can be yours to own.

Trip the “night” fantastic, her smile brings new meaning to the word golden. And when the light hits her just right, one can almost imagine that she is white. Embracing beneath the stars and shadows; under the cover of night, away from prying and disapproving eyes and you spot the crown others have tried to steal. You may have to realize that you are not just another Negro: the same as any who pick the cotton fields, bake the biscuits in the plantation’s kitchen, wipe the faces of white children who dare to disrespect you within the same hour… within a single breath you are suddenly a nigger. But really, you are instead a NEGROE: Dark skinned human of African extraction. (Extraction) It’s definition differing from “Negro”.

The Negro with an “E” means you are a shiftless, untrustworthy, larcenous, illiterate or uneducated individual no matter what God given talents you possess. The dictionary calls you Negro with an “E”.

But we will know- you and I. We will know that you are more than average. Beyond a name. A Negro woman with your childbearing hips and broad nose. With your voice of velvet. With your chocolate skin radiantly smooth- void of the blemish of worries for you know God carries you. And it is only He who’s voice is worth its weight in gold. The name He gives you makes you the Queen you are.

But! Do not fret to acknowledge anything other than the audience you attract, the money that you generate. Though you exude talent and sexiness beyond imagination, I must ask that when you depart, please exit through the back door. After all, to lesser men who shall one day stand before God only to be be washed into obscurity, you are in fact just A Negro…
