Sounds Like October
I hate the sound of when you are away
Such horrible sounds
Like aging wood of dilapidated bridges
Creaking sounds as boards give way
Endlessly falling through
Trapped where Creek Kings look for you

~enchanted forest~
Where eyes pierce your soul
Tear you and read your secrets for all the world
Then drown you forever
Steal the breath from your soul
It hurts when you aren’t around
Aches when I can not see your face
Nothing helps in this dark place

~the inspiration behind sounds like october is simply complicated. this piece is about loving someone so much, you feel physical pain when they aren’t around. the title was inspired by my love for the month of october. it’s the beginning of a long cold season ahead. the leaves fall from trees to leave branches bare and dark against the orange sky during sunset. it’s lovely, lonely and sad. if the ache of missing someone you love had a sound, it would resonate as lifeless leaves that crunch beneath your feet when october arrives~
