~the girl from blu is about loneliness in the gay community. it tells the story of a girl; lonely, dejected, searching. almost desperate but she holds out for the sake of hope. that ever elusive notion of faith. she searches for love in the nite life. jazz calls to her. her only comfort. in niteclubs she encounters more of the same. more lonely people. desperate. dejected. advertising their desire to find love. she doesn’t want a lover like her… just another wayfaring soul with a hole in her heart. she is damaged goods… and so is everyone else~

~lonely~

It was just one of those nights....Too much wine and wings unable to take flight....She wore a dress too flashy for sexy....A cigarette hanging simply from her lips....My eyes traced the curve of her hip....She was waiting for a miracle....Frown on her beautiful face....Thickened the air around her space...... There was a moon and it was full....Strangers, all of us searching for love....In the arms of miracle waiters....Pull, push, shove......And there she was in her flashy dress....Wine, cigarette and a trail of smoke but never the less....She had come looking for a miracle....The blu sound of jazz filled her eyes with tears....She was a figment, a thought....And only- nothing would become of it....Me? Never a miracle....Certainly not the kind she needed in her world......I danced in the moonlight alone....Lingering sound of jazz ringing in my ears....Something was out there for me....A miracle....Somewhere is something not so blu for me....A miracle....
